NAIDOC DAY RAP

Indigenous people are the owners of this land,

They want to live free so let’s give them a hand,

Lets share respect, love and care,

They’re our friends, we’ll always be there,

The disrespect in the early days,

Now for the stolen generation, we’ve changed our ways.

We have different cultures and live different lives,

We need to respect others ways, that no one should deny,

No hatred, no lies, racism is out,

From now on we all have no more doubt.

Cultures are our skills, customs and art,

Lets respect, don’t tear us apart.

We have each other, don’t leave anyone behind,

Let’s get together and just be kind.

Many different worlds we make as one,

That’s the only way it should be done!

NAIDOC DAY RAP

It’s now a stolen generation,

It was Indigenous land and nation.

It was supposed to be RESPECT

But the Indigenous had to protect.

The colour doesn’t matter at all
And the Indigenous were beginning to shatter and fall.

There are some dreamtime stories

Of the British having glory.

 Their home is called Australia

And the British were a massive failure.

The Indigenous had so much wise knowledge,

That they could have built the Harbour Bridge.

Their use of mother nature and land,

They were an extremely clever band.

We should all treat each other equally nice,

The British need to pay the price!

The Indigenous have an awesome culture

But captain Cook was acting like a greedy vulture.

There was a famous Aboriginal named Eddie Mabo,

And if he was here I would say bravo!

He put up the fight

And earned the land right.

So what if they were unique,

Because they didn’t even need a boutique.

It should still be their home.

Their water, land and nature to roam!

The British launched a huge impact,

The Indigenous tried their best to react.

But their downfall occurred soon enough and the fight was extremely tough.

The British didn’t take it too seriously, the Indigenous fought back furiously.

But sadly this is how it all ended.

The Indigenous are guaranteed to be remembered!

Their spirit, beliefs and skill,

My heart it will always fill!
